What are some good questions to ask?
My husband and I have an appointment to see my OBGYN tomorrow. We have been trying to get pregnant for 6 years now with no luck. We will be talking about infertility issues and the next steps we should take in starting our family. I have some questions in mind to ask. Just want some more ideas because I am not sure exactly what to expect tomorrow at our appointment. We are both very excited and nervous at the same time.

"Do you have a recommendation for a good fertility clinic in this area?"
An OBGYN is not qualified to diagnose or treat infertility. She can do basic blood work exam and might correctly diagnose a very obvious problem (like if you have PCOS), but to get the full picture both you AND your husband have to be evaluated, rather than focusing only on you and assuming that you're the problem. When a couple struggles with infertility, 40% of the time the issue is female-factor, 40% of the time it's male-factor, 20% of the time it's both.

Okay I was ask them to do a sperm count on him and check to see that you are fertile. After 6 years and no luck that is alarming ALL women are different took me the 2nd try for my first kid! I now have 5. My youngest is 3 weeks old and I got pregnant on the first try. But EVERY WOMAN in different. If you can't conceive, maybe it is the universe telling you, it isn't meant to be, or to adopt. Even try a surrogate if he is fertile but you are not. But see what the doctor says first! Good luck, I would be excited too!
