Can you rub essential oils on your skin?

    Dilute them first as some can be irritating or cause severe burns.

    Yes, though some can be irritating.  I rub lavender oil on my skin, and it doesn't cause any problems, but something like peppermint oil might well do so.

    And tea tree oil can burn.

    Make sure you know the safety rules regarding EO's and mix with a carrier oil.Do not use neat.

    You can rub motor oil on your skin if you want.
