if Christianity where undoubtable true, would you become a Christian? And why?

I have heard several people say they will not. So I wonder why would you not become a Christian even if that were true.

Some people like the idea of a heaven with your desires AND getting there by fighting and killing more.  And who wouldn't?

No one can "become a Christian" without the work of God.

The very many who call themselves Christians without that work makes for a serious opposition to the truth.

It is not "Christianity," whatever that is, that is true, but Jesus Christ and His Gospel which is true.

The fact of the matter: The reason why they will not become Christians is that they can't unless God The Lord Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior saves them, then and only then will they become saved, and then they will become a true believer of God or God chosen. Read 2 Corinthians 4:4, read Ephesians 4:18, read Jeremiah 17:9, read Romans 1:17-32, read 2 Thessalonians 2:1-10, read Ephesians 2:1-10, read Colossians 2:13, read Psalm 51:17, read Acts 4:12

    *were undoubtedly*

In this highly unlikely scenario, it would depend greatly on which particular version of Christianity turned out to be 'true' - as there are hundreds (or even thousands) of variations, almost all of which are based on individual interpretations of biblical myths.

If Christianity were demonstrable in some concrete way, then I would obviously have to seriously consider it - as the stakes would be raised.  Right now, I have no reason to believe that there is any basis in reality for the claims it makes, and plenty of reasons to believe that it was invented by men who imparted their 'god' with their own worst character defects (i.e. - anger, wrath, vengeance, jealousy, etc.).

Apparently, hope of life after the grave does not appeal to some, Romans 8:24, John 11.

You've got to admit that the Christian god is a particularly nasty one.  Those who say that if that god were real they wouldn't worship him are reacting to the fact that the god depicted in the OT is not worthy of worship.

  • I have answered this kind of question many times, and on several occasions, True Christianity is based on that believer who has had his experience with Jesus Christ, the Lord!

Christians means: followers of Christ, of what Jesus said in the Holy Gospel!

How true that there is Christianity, and also true that there is only one church, and it is the one that observes and puts into practice the whole word of God!

He who does not do so is religious, and pathetically heretical, out of doctrine!

I just can't imagine how anything as ridiculous as Christianity could be true. Jesus rose from the dead? That's disgusting and completely impossible. I can't imagine the brainwashing required to believe that nonsense.

Well we would have to take away all of the holidays along with it. Christmas and easter is not theirs. In short the question is moot. Since christianity is one of the major false religions out there
