is it worth seeing someone?
I don’t want to waste nhs time during this pandemic for something that isn’t serious. I suffer from restless leg syndrome and it gets super bad at night and i’m losing sleep, is it worth me going to the doctors or does anyone know anything i can do from home to help?

Assuming that they are neurological, there are treatments we can do to try to make you feel better. When nerves are damaged, they do not heal like skin or muscle. But we can control the symptoms of how you feel. Neurotin and b12 cortisone injections are such treatments that come to mind. You can see a doctor and do therapy at home. Nerve conditions are difficult to treat so everything should and may be done at the same time.

Start by looking it up online. There is a lot of information there. Take vitamins and minerals including magnesium and iron. The condition can be caused by a deficiency.
Do some of the exercises they recommend. If you do everything there and you take all the minerals for a couple of months, then contact a doctor about possible neurological causes.
You can get a phone consultation with a doctor though.

No. It's probably from sitting down too much. You need to get up and walk around more often.
Source(s): I've had this problem in the past. I know a few folks who complain about this too. They're big 'sitter arounders' and not very active people. A lot of people feel they're being active by getting in the car and going somewhere but you're still sitting in the car and not moving much so it doesn't help. You gotta get your body moving. - Anonymous4 months ago

I have a similar problem with my feet after midnight. I have Neuropathy in the soles of my feet. Neuropathy is defined as pain along the pathway of a nerve. I thing restless-leg syndrome is a problem of nerves. There is a website called, "people'spharmacy.com" that offers home remedies. Investigate! As long as weight is applied to my feet(sitting or standing)the stinging goes away. If I wear heavy socks or house slippers to bed, the stinging stops.
