Is there ANY way a mere mortal can do any REAL HARM to any Being which is INFINITELY Powerful, and ETERNALLY Unchanging?
It would SEEM that a thing which is not changed, has not been harmed.
And rumours have it that GOD is Infinitely Perfect, and cannot change to LESS perfect. Which includes being PERFECTLY happy, no matter HOW few people actually believe in Him. So, why would He punish anyone for NOT believing in Him??

We rests in our disgrace, and our disarray covereth us: for we have trespassed against the Lord our God, we and our dads, from our childhood even unto this day, and have not complied with the voice of the Lord our God

True. But they can harm those who are he loves who are not infinite, powerful and unchanging. So he has to deal with those who refuse to follow and as such harm and would continue to harm others around them.

He doesn't punish but rather saves people from their sin and suffering.
No matter how patent and obvious He makes it, people like you still insist on misrepresenting Him.
Why do you want to pretend that He does two contradictory things at once? Presumably it is malice on your part?
If it is not malice it is incredible stupidity.

God doesn't punish people for not believing in him.
As is very nearly always the case
"perfect"
does not mean
"perfect in every imaginable characteristic".
SO: you assume "perfect"includes "perfectly happy".
Do you also assume that it means
- perfectly sad
- perfectly good
- perfectly evil
- perfectly knowledgeable
- perfectly ignorant
etc.?
Of course not
which begs the question
why do you imagine that it includes "perfectly happy"?
Answer: because your argument depends on it, and for no other reason.

Jeremiah 3:25
We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.

He isn't punishing anyone. He made this planet habitable, put amazing plants and animals on it and then people rather than enjoy what God had made killed the animals ruined the oceans and cut down the trees. The bible says he is bringing to ruin those ruining the earth. But during this time he has selected righteous people to live forever on earth. His main objection before the flood was violence. How the humans were killing each other the animals and everything else.

Nope. It can't happen. I will never happen.
So let believers think that they have SUCH POWER that they
can blaspheme a 'holy spirit' or some other religious concoction.
They will always PROVE what a wimp their little god really is.
