How does she feel about me?

A woman once loved me, she met me years later, we kissed on first date but sometime after in the weeks it seemed to go down hill from there, less communication from her basically, at one point a ghosting from her. So it became apparent that she was uninterested in me, so I decided to let it go and move on. 

However 2 weeks later she messaged me out of the blue asking how I was. Why didn't she just leave it, and let it go? As I had left her alone and was no longer messaging her.
