Boyfriend said he would meet me half way then changed his mind? ?

He invited me over to his house. He lives 50 mins away from me. He used to meet me half way before and when I came back home I would follow him half way. Well yesterday he told me he would meet me half way because of the fog. It really hard to see at night. I felt relieved. But today he told me it was going to take him longer since he has to get home and shower. And then meet me half way. So he asked if I would drive all the way instead. I felt bummed but I agreed. I just feel like he doesn’t even want to put the effort in driving 10 mins to pick me up. I’m nervous driving back alone in the fog in the backroads. Does he not care if I get into an accident? Am I exaggerating? He does know I’m going alone.

If you don’t think it’s safe for you to drive, why would you want him to take that risk? You’re a grown woman, so put your big girl panties on and either drive yourself or don’t. I really don’t understand all this meeting half way and following him. Either you can drive or you can’t. The whole idea of following him is just ridiculous. I think you need to grow up and take care of yourself instead of letting him coddle you like a child. The whole situation sounds unreasonable.

If he doesn't make a habit of it and this is the first time he's asked, then perhaps you're overreacting. If you're a nervous driver you need to say so.

this makes no sense. when you leave and go home he follows you home in his car and then you follow him halfway back to his place and then go home again? you live 50 minutes away but he would only have to drive 10 minutes to pick you up?
