How long does the final phase of weight loss take? (Please see details)?
At age 21, I drank each weekend for a month or 2, heavily. The food I ate at that time did not help either, or lack of exercise. I went from being ripped to having a gut. Years later, I decided to dedicate myself to becoming ripped again. Within months I lost 50 pounds, and i lost 7 inches off my waistline.
I decided to eat really healthy 24/7. I drink only water, I eat mainly raw vegetables. I have a laborious job, so during the week, I have a couple of raw fruits before shift, or during lunch. I may have a banana or an apple. The sugar from the apple, or the fat from the banana, give me the needed energy to successfully do my job.
And, before shift starts, and during lunch, I have a cup of 55 calorie (vegetarian) fish, which is 0.5 grams of sugar. Other than that, during the week, I eat raw vegetables. Each night, I have an eggplant and raw mushrooms. Each day, I eat carrots, and/or celery, squash, cucumber, red peppers (I read that red peppers are the healthiest color).
Exercise wise, on my 2 days off I perform an interval jump rope routine. (12 minutes total, from a moderate pace, to all out, to rest, to repeat.) I learned this when I used to take boxing lessons. You add a 'round' each month. All week, I do sit ups and push ups. On days off I lift weights (for balance). I've lifted for years/am strong.
I used to have abs & no love handles. I am close to getting it all back, but it feels like I won't. How long does the last phase last? Or what am I doing wrong?
