Does anyone know their stuff about the stimulus check?

I am on disability and I make so little that I do not have to file taxes.  I checked the IRS portal and it is showing that my payment was send on January 4th to an old checking account.  What do I need to do to get my stimulus money?  Please only those who know what they are talking about answer.  No offense.  Thank you

If the old checking account is closed, then the bank should reject the payment and send it back to the IRS; the IRS will then send a paper check by U.S. mail (this may take a long time).  You do not need to do anything (except cash or deposit the paper check).

If the old checking account is still open, then the money will go into it.  If you don't have the ATM card or checkbook for it anymore, then you may have to go to the bank and show ID to withdraw the money.

If the account is now closed the bank is going to send the money back to the IRS. You need to go to the get my payment website and update your deposit information if you can so they can at least mail you the check six weeks from now

It will be returned to the IRS and they will send a paper check when they get around to it. In the meantime, don't ask twice a day. Hurry up and wait.
