I got a Wall St internship and I asked about working hours & was told 5 to 9. I thought he meant 9 to 5 but he said 5 to 9. Did I screw up?

Market closes at 3pm central. They don't need anyone 5-9.

5 to 9 is correct for a Wall Street internship, that is 5 am to 9 pm. Have fun

Since you seem to lack the communication skills necessary to confirm your working hours, yes, you screwed up. Such things really shouldn't be that difficult.
