Are there any Constitutional way (with elections) for a US state to leave the union? ?
Can a state constitutionally (in this case legally) leave the union; the USA? Does it matter what state it would be, for example Kentucky is a 'Commonwealth' and some states joined the union instead of being swallowed up by it (Texas comes to mind). ...or could places like Guam 'leave' the US?

Not that it's likely, but in order for it to be Constitutional, it would require that two-thirds of the other states agree.
There would also have to be trade treaties, and the Federal Government would have to put toll charges on the Interstate Highways anywhere they former state touched a current state, or the Feds could just come in and rip up the Interstates if they preferred, since they own that land. Also, something would have to be done about Federal lands and National Parks in those States, because they'd have to buy the land from the Feds.
