How come there is a US Navel Base in Cube; a country the US has been in conflict with since the Battista era?

Hi. I would like to buy a second hand van to use as a normal family car, but some of them are sold as 'no VAT'. Since I am not a business owner, will I somehow have to pay VAT on such car, or can't I buy it without having a business/ being a sole trader?

Can a state constitutionally (in this case legally) leave the union; the USA? Does it matter what state it would be, for example Kentucky is a 'Commonwealth' and some states joined the union instead of being swallowed up by it (Texas comes to mind). ...or could places like Guam 'leave' the US? 

Is it stated as a specific time, or when the President elect has finished swearing the oath, or any time that day? The reason I ask is if the US was attacked on the morning of the inauguration for example, would it be the sitting President or the President elect that would have to deal with that?

...and has it ever happened? Will the secret service 'turn' on the former president, since he or she no longer hold the position, or is it the job of the Police or even FBI to remove him/her from office? Any presidence in this?

I didn't know there were still any DC10 in use in the skies anymore, and then I saw a transport plane from Lufthansa that looked just like a DC10. After looking at their WebSite they state it's called a MD11f, but it really looks like 'the old' DC10. Is it?

If I understand my history lessons in School correctly, there were a strong opinion in the US to stay out of WW2 in Europe and Asia. Not that the US was especially friendly with Japan or Nazi Germany, but because ;'...let them deal with their own problems over there, and leave us out of it!'. Is this historically incorrect? ...and Churchill desperately tried to lobby the US to get involved, so was he secretly 'pleased' when Pearl Harbour was attacked, since that suddenly involved the US by default?

This is not a partisan question, but a constitutional one. If the sitting president doesn’t accept that he has lost and simply continues as before... Can a new president even be sworn in? ...and if so, can the (former) president be removed by Police(!) and kicked-out of the White House? I know.. It all sound like a bad comedy show but it could actually happen... couldn't it?

As a Christian I have always been a supporter of Israel as a nation state, but I belive Netanyahu to be a corrupt and dangerious politician. ...so why are there so many people in the States who see that as anti-zionism or even (in extreem accusation) as hidden anti-semitism? Me not liking Obama didn't make me anti-American or a racist, so why is being anti-Netanyahu seen as being anti-Israel?

Do you think that a 'blank' vote (in any election) is a way to protest; a way to say that you do not support any of the parties or persons in the line up, or is it just a waisted vote?

When you mention that spech to anyone in England over 50 years old, their reaction is always so forgiving: ' oh, he tried his best to keep peace' or 'What else could he have done?' but it was an agreement made with Hitler and Mousselini that accepted German expansion into foreign territory...
