Is it bad or wrong to be an Anti Facist (?)?
I am from Ireland, I am very curious as to why some American are fascists. The history of European fascists is to beat the underdog, kill all opponents and enemies and to have a dictator who rules with an iron fist. Thousands of American soldiers died fighting against fascism. Why do so many Americans think it is such a good idea now.

Your confusion comes from the US group of Left Wing Fascist that call themselves antifa. In effect, this groups brings the historic words of Churhill into reality.
“The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists.”
Have a look for yourself. They look (and act) exactly like the Fascist Black Shirts under Mussolini.

Fascism is always lurking under the surface here in one form or another. Medical/psychiatric fascism, for example, is one historically longstanding example which is often under recognized compared with its political counterpart but quite pervasive and dangerous nonetheless. It could be included in the general category of “corporate fascism” I suppose since mainstream medicine/psychiatry is basically a business here.. As such it is concerned more with profit than with “wellness” and it basically serves as the lap dog for the pharmaceutical industry

Pretty much NO Americans think fascism is a good idea. Allow me to instruct you on SJW 101 here in America. The "social justice warriors" have co-opted all sorts of terms, one of them being "fascist". What an SJW means when they say fascist is someone who disagrees with their far Left politics.\
In other words, a "fascist" to them is someone who is centre-right in the classic sense of politics. A "Nazi" is a little farther to the right. Even a classic Liberal is too far to the right for todays Leftists, so they call them "right wingers", because classic Liberals believe in free speech and judging people by their character rather than their race. Martin Luther King's politics would be "right wing" today.

Patrick, I must tell you that Fascism died in 1945, never to return. And there are no Fascists in the USA at present. We do have the KKK, which represents ~0.0000007% of our population, but they are racists, not Fascists.
Conservative Americans believe in freedom of the individual, the free market, low taxation & small government, and the US Constitution, including freedom of speech, religion, and gun ownership. All of what Conservative Americans believe in, is the OPPOSITE of Fascism. (It is our Liberal citizens who want the government to control everyone.) Conservative Americans are far more anti-Fascist than anyone. It is the big government high taxation Socialists who are the true Fascists, although they won't admit it. The liberal Socialists like to call their opposition Fascists and racists because they have no intelligent arguments against the concept of freedom.

Cheers Irish! I have no idea. There is no rhyme or reason to any of this. America is having a meltdown over some bigoted idiot. I'm certainly anti-facist. They try to make it sound like you are a terrorist if you say that though. It's lame.
