did humans used to have better vision?

    Given  that vision declines with age and starts in your 40's.  So a long time ago, the life expectancy could be about 30 and life expectancy now is 80.  That is a lot of people still alive with bad vision right now that in the past would have died  before their eyesight went bad.

    A 20 year old human has better vision than a 90 year old.

    I never read anything about human vision improving in 60,000 years of human evolution. Or getting worse.
