Would you be more likely to get into a college if you share the same last name as the name of the school? ?

I assume this is not the case but I’m genuinely curious if it would have any affect on your application at all.

    Not at all, although I've heard that an unusually high number of young women named "Madison" attend James Madison University in Virginia.  It wouldn't have helped their application, but it may have attracted them to the school--who knows...
