If John the Baptist is the greatest to be born before Jesus why is it one of the least ones in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he?

Mathew 11:11

It seems to me because he died before Jesus made a covenant for a kingdom of Kings and priest to rule in heaven with him at the last super and John the Baptist was already dead and was not part of that covenant at Luke 22:29 for a kingdom.

Update:

Jesus was the first one to ascend to heaven John 3:13 no one before did. If John was in heaven then he would be atleast the least one in relations to the kingdom. David did not ascend to heaven acts 2:34

Update 2:

Mathew 24:3 Christ presence started at the conclusion of the system of things

Throughout the Scriptures, we see many examples of men of faith who were deeply moved by holy spirit; yet they did not have the hope of living in heaven.

John the Baptist was one such person. Jesus highly praised him but stated that John would not be included in the heavenly Kingdom.

The reason not in heaven is because the heavenly hope did not exist until after Jesus was put to death, and he was resurrected and went back to heaven.

On ascending into heaven Jesus appeared before Jehovah God in the arrangement God had set up in the heavens for atonement for the sins of mankind. Heb. 8:1, 2 There he presented the value of his blood in behalf of the life of the world of mankind. Now there was a heavenly hope for a select few.

No doubt this is where John and others will end up at.

Psalms 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

Psalms 37:10,11 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be : yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be .

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Anyone availing himself of Acts 2:38 was greater than John because of Col. 1:13.

Here is the order of the resurrection 1 Corinthians 15:21-24 Christ then those who belong to him during his presence. Meaning Christ was resurrected then the chosen one waited asleep in death until the last days or Christ presence. Then the end at the last day or thousand year reign.

Jesus said no man had been born that was greater than John the Baptist.  (Not that John was the greatest).  I think the least in the kingdom is greater than John because John didn't go to heaven.  He didn't qualify and like you said, he died before the way to heaven was even opened up.

have risen from the dead over the centuries

both before and after Jesus. It's nothing new.
