Is it normal to get dizzy from stretching hard?

You know that feeling you get when you stand up too fast? When you get dizzy and lightheaded for a few seconds? That happens to me when I do a big stretch. Is this normal? Why does this happen?

  • Maybe go easier on the big stretching, i mean, a stretch's function is to START your blood moving (like when you wake, it's needed then). But if youre stretching UNneeded, and "big" no less, you may be depriving parts of you that need blood from having any for a moment or two.

Stretching causes more blood to be pumped (taking it away from elsewhere, which can cause the dizziness). Bending, and then standing up can affect bloodflow too.

But it's a temporary effect. And yes, it's normal.
