Is everyone in UK getting their Covid-19 shots way ahead of the US?

If so, how many shots has the UK given? What percentage? Are regular people age 16-60 (no preferences) allowed to get shots in UK?

The U.S. has 50 states each with different rules on getting vaccinated. We have 325 million people. We cant do it the same as England.

The first to get the jabs were front line medics and emergency workers along with the elderly in Care homes.

    Next were those over 80.

Then the 70 year old and over.

Now we are doing 50 years of age.

We are moving at quite a pace and are ahead of the USA for one reason.

Your former idiot of a President who refused to believe Corvid was anything to worry about.

Thank God you now have a sane leadership at last!

Only those at risk groups have been given priority.

    Over 70.

Or those younger groups  with health issues compromising their immune systems.

So far only 13 million have been given it.

But good ole Boris keeps vacillating, so instead of being given 2 shots within 4 weeks, many have only received 1 jab!

Though he keeps spinning 15 million have been given it.

Probably because they had their order in first.  First in line gets it if your government refused additional doses there are other countries behind you so you go to the back of the line.  You had your chance, you blew it so you are behind Outer Mongolia.

15 million so far. It's now the turn of the 60 year olds. Then the 50s.

Today Tuesday. Up to 17 million.

The UK were the first to start vaccinating people, a week before the USA started.

Looks like it (getting their shots ahead of the UK).   You can look up the stats for yourself.

ps   'Regular people' (whatever that is!) have to wait while the more at risk people are invited to take their first vaccination.   It all comes to he who waits.   Eventually.

It is being done by priority, but the rate of dosage per 100 people is higher than the USA. (And is 5 times faster than is being done in France.) The preference goes to those who would be at risk of being hospitalised to protect the health service. Lower risk groups will get theirs in due course, if they choose to take up the offer.
