-- Canada is not a socialist country. It is a capitalist country with a capitalist economy.
-- Mexicans are not attempting to escape capitalism. Yes, they may be attempting to escape poverty, but not crime. There is more crime in the USA.
-- Canada will open its border when there is less Covid-19 cases in the US, and when more Americans are vaccinated.
-- Yes, many Canadians probably do not want many Americans moving to Canada. They do not want the rampant racism, the immoral attitudes and behavior, the gun culture and violence that are a normal part of American culture and society. They also prefer a more diverse and freedom loving parliamentary democracy and not the two-party right wing politics of America.
@PIE -- Drug cartels are very much capitalist orientated.

Mexico Isn't a capitalist country.
It is controlled by drug cartels paying politicians for the free right to murder their own citizens.
Sounds like the U.S.S.R. and Communist China from 1948-1952!
