Yes, in fact he set the pattern and taught them

how to pray.  (See Matthew 6:9,10-Lord’s prayer)

    Yes He did.......

Of course he did.  But often he prayed by himself.  I have no use for a God that talks to himself.

I remember him directing them to pray to his Father, and admonishing Peter for not praying to his Father. And then I remembered this.

    Luke 9:28

About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.

He prayed alone, not with his followers. The one time that they had the chance to do that was in the last supper, where Jesus asked them to stay awake and pray, but instead they went to sleep. Of course, after that, the Roman soldiers came and detained Jesus, sent Him to Caiaphas to prosecute him and sentence Him to death by crucifixion (Crucifixion, because it was the form of punishment used to people who are considered cursed. In short, it's a way of the Romans saying to Jesus "Curse you", but they really had nothing on Him).

He also taught us how to pray to God. The prayer, "Heavenly Father", is actually His, and what a beautiful and wonderful prayer it is!

Yes, you can see instances of it mentioned in the gospels.

  • Generally He prayed alone

He did teach us how to pray though
