Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Lord Jesus Christ is God, and He loves you.  Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future, and means going to heaven and not hell.  Death leads to immediate heaven or hell, and it is too late to be saved, after death.  All believers still sin.  See 1 John 1:8.  To be in heaven and not hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God and who died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for all of our sins in full, and who was buried, and who resurrected from the dead.  The only way to avoid hell is by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, without adding any of your own works.  See Romans 4:5, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, and John 3:16.

Not to state the obvious, but come to know the Savior. He founded a Church for the very purpose of making Him known to people. Try attending it some Sunday morning.

Regret whatever sins you may have had.

    Give them up forever.

Make what amends you can for them.  Build bridges.  Mend fences.

Replace the sins with good works.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.  Refer to Acts 16:31

    Also, look up these verses:  Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:13, 10:9&10; John 1:12, 14:6, 3:16, 3:3; Ephesians 2:8,9

1 Peter 3:21 confirms that the entire baptismal arrangement, including this public expression of faith, is essential for salvation.

The apostle wrote: “That which corresponds to this is also now saving you, namely, baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the request made to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

Clearly, the mere act of getting immersed is not what saves. While water can wash away filth or dirt, salvation does not result from a putting away of the filth of the flesh by a solemn external washing.

Peter showed that salvation is through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This means that the one getting baptized must have faith that salvation is only possible because the Son of God died a sacrificial death and was then resurrected on the third day.

Peter associated the request made to God for a good conscience. To come into possession of a good conscience, all who get immersed must repent of their sins, turn around from a wrong course and dedicate themselves fully to God through Christ.

After following through on what God requires, the baptized disciple comes into possession of a good conscience. As long as he maintains that good conscience he is in a saved condition.

Decide to obey all of Jesus' sayings

  • if you are asking about Salvation... claiming your place in Heaven....... there is only one way... The Way prescribed by The Creator God.... and there is a lot more involved in that than what you have received in the responses you have received so far........... Only The Creator God decrees who is worthy to enter Heaven...... and The Way He prescribes is the only way..... no exceptions

Asked and answered.  Don’t take my word for it. Read His.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

“Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.”

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.”

Do something stupid and put yourself in a perilous situation whilst making sure that somebody sees you do it. You will probably be saved, but people are remarkably unobservant and unreliable, so don't bet on it.
