If I accept that that gods may actually exist in parallel universes where almost anything is possible, can I still be an atheist?
I do not see any evidence of gods in this realm, I do not believe they exist here. But the multiverse theory suggests that there may be universes where god like beings exist. So, is my atheism still intact because our reality is confined to this universe, or has my acceptance that gods may exist elsewhere tarnished my atheist badge? Supposing I did believe in the multiverse theory that is, which I am not sure about at present.

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality3 years agoWasn't it inevitable that somebody would have eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge eventually?
If Eve had not eaten the fruit, then the tree would have sat there, tempting generation after generation. Somebody else was sure to eat the fruit in the end, very probably a child. Would they not be bound by God's command? Or were children not part of His original plan?
26 AnswersReligion & Spirituality3 years agoReligion and spirituality. I have an existential dilemna, should I leave my history of answers open?
I believe in being honest. I feel that people should be able to see what I have written in the past. However, it appears that person or persons unknown are going through my history and reporting answers from months ago.
I imagine that if I get reported too much I will get deleted. So, do I stick to my principals and take the consequences? Or should I hide my past thoughts?

Religion & Spirituality3 years agoIs the Landover Baptist Church worse than the church of Satan?
I have just clicked on a link in a recent question for the Landover Baptist Church. My new phone informed me that I was blocked unless I could prove I was over 18. As an experiment I searched The Church of Satan.....No problem. Yes I know the Landover BC is a parody, But is it really considered worse for kids than The COS.

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 years agoIs the US really as religious as most europeans believe?
I have just got back from a two week holiday in Florida. As an atheist I expected a lot of uncomfortable questions about my religion. Instead I find the malls full on Sunday and a fairly secular view of life. Is that just Florida? Also, I was expecting huge portions of food at cheap prices and lots of fat people, both were lacking. My view of the US has been radically altered. I love the patriotism that you, sorely lacking in the UK. Is what I experienced the true US?
