this model does not support non-SATA drives. you can always get a SATA SSD, and it will be light years faster than what it comes with.

internet search and the HP website will tell you exactly what your specs are. then you'll know which SATA SSDs will work. note that all of them will be 2.5 inch form factor [because that's the standard width for all laptops built to western standards]. Do NOT get an M2 SSD -- your motherboard doesn't have the required slot.

Most consumer-level laptops from the past 15 or so years use SATA hard drives. Before that, they used IDE (PATA) drives, but those have been obsolete for many years.
Pretty much any modern 2.5" SATA HDD will work on your laptop. I personally would install a 2.5" SATA SSD as that will make the laptop more responsive than with the hard drive.
