    Mostly because the Bush administration started requiring a passport to do so.   Seems like a rather high tax for a weekend.

    Did it ever occur to you that Canada doesn't want them. The Americans were kicked out of Canada in the war of 1812. I don't think Canadians want more American invading their border. Beside that. Americans have no 2nd amendment rights in Canada.
