British historians should never underestimate Hitler's resolve and determination to invade the UK. True or false ?

After the Battle of Britain in 1940 Hitler turned his attention to invading Russia in Operation Barbarrossa in the following year.

However, it simply meant that the Nazi invasion of Britain was postponed until after the defeat of the USSR, but by no means should the postponement be misconstrued as an outright cancellation of Operation Sealion.

For Hitler had never intended to cancel the invasion of Britain, but only to postpone it until after his defeat of the USSR.

I may get this wrong but he postponed the invasion of Britain as he believed the loss of life would be too great to then mount an attack on Russia. He believed Russia was weak and there for the taking, so the idea was take Russia first, get the war down to 1 front, then launch on the UK. He underestimated the Russians. Had he taken Britain first, he still would have lost however Russia would have had total control over Europe. Had he succeeded in taking Russia, I think he takes Britain and the Americans go for peace.

False.  Hitler, having failed to bring Britain onside politically, fully intended to invade Britain before invading the USSR.  He failed.  He came close but he couldn't even defeat the RAF nevermind the RN.  He would have had to defeat both to successfully invade Britain.  He gave up because he had no other option.  He MAY have resumed his effort if he had won against the USSR (speculation is impossible to prove) but it was never his main goal to attack Britain, he would have preferred peace with Britain.  It was always his intention to attack the USSR though.
