If Dems succeed in taking away our guns and defunding the police, can we say "When seconds count, a social worker is only minutes away"?

Dems, don't deny it.  Democrats are now on the record as wanting to take away some of our guns and defund the police.

Update:

Anonymous - You misunderstand your chart.  It says "gun deaths" not homicides. That would include suicides.  And even that is wrong.  I have the official US gun homicide rates from 1993 to 2011 and the numbers are still wildly off.

Nobody is 'taking away our guns'... The premise that civilian populations should not have access to military weapons is valid.  Military weapons are designed to kill... people.  Not deer, elk, moose, etc.  Who hunts with an AK47?  I don't.  If I had to hunt with an assault rifle in order to have a chance to hit what I am shooting at, I would give up hunting.  While there will always be gun violence, as long as people have guns, it should be a focus to keep them out of the hands of those most likely to commit mass murder.  Close the loopholes for gun purchases. Enhance background checks.  How is that taking our guns away?  Only from those who should not have them in the first place.

Not to mention you generalize to an excessive degree... 'Democrats are now on the record' ?  Broad generalization not based in fact or proof.

Lastly, nice try to subvert the original aphorism... 'When seconds count, the police are just minutes away'.  Try something original... LMFAO!
