If China attacks Taiwan would the U.S. intervene and should we?

Eventually... The suffering would get a lot of exposure, depending on how hard taiwan fight back, we'd probably begin to see China as a brutal bully and much of the world world invite America to do something. If the USA acts too soon, before severe suffering tho, we'll eventually be seen as the bullies.

If the U.S. is able to build a coalition, then yes, it would likely intervene since we signed a treaty to do so.

I doubt it. China is just a hop skip and jump away from Taiwan, the USA is thousands of miles away. China could put war ships all around Taiwan and would also have air superiority.

The US signed a treaty to protect Taiwan, so there is an obligation. However, world war three might be the result, so the US would probably take a long time to think about it.

I think so. Best not let the Chinese expand like they want to.
