Religious people and atheists, Even if there is a God why assume he still exists today? ?
All children eventually learn how to survive without their parents. Mom and dad don't have to constantly be alive for you to continue breathing. So why do people believe God has to exist simply because the universe does? Humanity certainly behaves like an orphan who wants to learn more about his birth mother and father. Would you let your child smoke heroin right in front of you? If there is such a thing a divine supervision why would God simply watch as people sinned in his face and do nothing about it?

I don't. But every year millions experience God for themselves. You should, too. It's the logical thing to do. Don't bother moving the goalposts. It's more evidence than atheists have to shore up their fantasy that there is no God.

No assuming involved. Hundreds of millions of people know Him in a personal way, and live in daily relationship and communication with Him. Yes, the existence of the universe is an objective indication of His reality, however people who know Him obviously don't have to refer to such "evidence".

Inferring the existence of an infinitely more complex 'creator' in order to explain the existence and complexity of the universe is redundant.
If 'God' didn't require creation, why would the universe?

He inspired the writing of a book (the Bible) which includes time-stamp documented miracles in which he tells us that he will continue to interact with us human beings until the day of judgment.
Mk 16:20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Mt 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

If you're asking why a god would let people do bad things, this is the price to pay for free will. For humans not just being perfect, mindless automatons.
Keep in mind, if you're talking about "sin" a lot of sins in the Abrahamic religions are... weird to say the least. Like getting tattoos, eating bacon, women speaking at church, wearing multiple fabrics, etc. How are any of these evil or wrong?
And other people believe in a non-interventionist God that just started the whole process and observes. This is what I believe. There is no judgement coming, there is no afterlife of either punishment or reward.

Revelation 4:1-11 gives a symbolic description of this God, the “Lord God Almighty,” who sits upon the heavenly throne and who lives forever and ever;
At Genesis 1:27, we read that God created humans in his image. How so? He gave us the capacity to display love, justice, and wisdom. And as the One who lives forever, God implanted in us the desire to live forever. He “planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds,” says Ecclesiastes 3:11.
Point - God is alive.
