Is there a book(s) on obliques? (Not abs). Please see details. Any information is very appreciated. Thank you.?
I used to be really overweight. Then for several months, each day I'd: eat like a champ, only drink water, intense cardio, sit ups, go to bed early, and I lost 45 pounds and 6 inches on my waist!
At my former gym, I paid for 2 (30-60 minute) lessons: 1 on abs, 1 on obliques. I still have the list of exercises for both. Most abs exercises require: no equipment, or a weight plate, a mat, a medicine ball, a stability ball, a slam ball, + an ab-roller.
Yet, I'm looking at the oblique list of exercises, and most of them require weight machines, an incline bench, and other equipment that is really pricey or is only available at a gym. So, I've only been doing the few ones I can at home :( The point- My abs look MUCH better (than when I was overweight). My obliques only look somewhat better :/ I'm gonna keep striving with both.Yet, if within weeks or months I earn 6 pack abs, I DO NOT want to have chubby obliques on the sides of them ;( I don't plan on rejoining a gym, due to other bills and responsibilities. Perhaps I could save up and buy each piece of the necessary equipment?I believe the 19 forms of sit-ups the trainer taught me are why my abs look better (I do sets of 20 of them at home each week)I own 2 books on abs: The "The Abs Diet" and "Men's Health: Getting Abs". Their recommended exercises rock, but they don't (or very rarely) mention the word obliques. Please no rude or sarcastic answers. God bless you all. Are there books on obliques?

It would be odd to find a book or obliques only, because most ab/core workouts include moves for the obliques. There are MANY oblique exercises that don't require weights, and I linked to one site with some in a question you asked after this one.

You might also call your old gym and see if that trainer is still there or if they know where that trainer is working, so you could ask them what the exercise was that you are not remembering.

I would suggest going to YouTube which is free as opposed to buying a book. The two channels I would recommend turning to are Athlean X and Scott Herman Fitness. Athlean X does a good job explaining how the muscles work and how to hit them. Scott Herman Fitness also explains how they work, but jumps to the exercises quicker.
