Which event was more humiliating for the British?

The fall of Singapore or the Suez crisis.

In the Suez crisis, all America had to do was move numbers around a computer screen and the British economy would have collapsed. Britain as a country would have faced a societal collapse and mass starvation, leading to a famine.

In the fall of Singapore, the British outnumbered the Japanese 5 to 1 yet their forces were destroyed in expeditious manner. Similar to how the Nazis brought France to its knees in just 3 short weeks. Churchill called it the worst military defeat and capitulation ever by the British armed forces.

  • As an Englishman I would say the most humiliating thing for the 'British' is how the nation is now infested with third worlders, to the point that the ethnically British people are heading to becoming a minority in their own ancestral homelands by the 2060's.

Which is a result of joining the wrong side in WWII & murdering fellow Europeans in their own country for no valid reason, which also bankrupt the nation & caused the collapse of the British empire.

Britain isn't a country btw. Britain is the island of Scotland, England & Wales.

The United Kingdom is the name of the nation state.

The "British" are ruining England, Scotland & Wales. Flooding the island with third worlders & every foreign problem they can find.
