My Best Friend and I just had a very big fight...what should I do?
I ask because today, my best friend promised to take me to an Easter party today.
But, Instead, he decided to blow me off to do TWO photoshoots. He DID NOT tell me about the photos.
For one of the photos he did, he got $2,700.
I asked my friend why he did not tell me about the photoshoots..and he told me that he was not allowed to say anything about the photos.
I told him that I was very happy for him regarding the photos, but i did also remind him that he broke a promise to me today...and I was really upset with him.about that.
He did apologise and offer to split the $2,700 with me to make up for what he did...what should I do?

This depends on whether he even bothered to cancel. If he just didn't show up he's the one who needs to apologize. If he cancelled and you just didn't like that then you own him an apology. Either way you're not entitled to any of the money he earned.

Hello there I can see why you got your feeling hurt. But if this is a first time, I would probably forgive him especially since he’s your best friend. But if he does this often I think that you have to have a very frank talk with him telling him that you can no longer tolerate his behavior and follow up on it. The offer to split the $2700 sounds like guilt money maybe since I don’t know your history with your friend. But in any case, I absolutely would not take one penny of that money and say, how about you buy me dinner and let’s let this go. Best friends are hard to come by. What do you think?
