Does the USMC still do bayonets?

    every military on earth still uses bayonet drills....

    critics may say that it's because militaries depend on producing "cold blooded killers"...and part of that is true...

    but the simple fact is that combat is still a primal thing and survival often depends on what's inside the soldier rather than the technological advancement of the weapons carried... if life or death hinges on hand to hand combat, you'd better be ready for it...

    as long as humans fight, this will never be "outdated" thinking... during the Gulf War, a British unit was ambushed and surrounded by militants... when their ammunition ran low and calls for support went unanswered, the unit commander ordered a bayonet charge...

    ...the charge caught the militants off guard causing a panic that allowed the trapped soldiers to break through their superior numbers and scatter them long enough to escape...
