Why aren’t I losing weight faster?
I know this isn’t healthy but I don’t understand why I don’t lose weight faster. I am eating less than 500 calories a day plus I’m very active 4/7 days a week and on the days I’m not extremely active I still get in an hour of exercise.
I’ve been doing this since Feb 28. I’ve only lost 10 lbs.
Why??? I don’t understand why only 10 lbs. what’s going on?! Someone please tell me because I’m starving myself and what do I have to do next, eat nothing every other day? What does it take to lose weight faster?!
Ty
What my diet is of 500 or less calories usually I eat nothing for breakfast or a small piece of fruit then I’ll have 120 calories worth of hummus and a frozen dinner under 300 calories or an egg white on 45 calorie bread. That’s ALL I eat and I only lost 10 lbs!!!!!
I’m not even underweight. I’m 5’5” and 120 lbs.
I don’t understand!
Someone explain this to me how a body doesn’t lose weight eating under 500 calories a day?

You're in the healthy weight range for your height, that's why. You should see it as a blessing that you're not losing weight very fast- because you don't need to. It sounds like you want to be underweight or something. Why?? What's wrong with being a healthy weight?

Tarkarri is correct. They describe the arexogenic cycle, which is the result of ANY anorexia (not eating enough).
Caloric restriction only leads to fat GAIN, so your lost weight is likely muscle tissue and probably a little bit of water.
I eat until full at every meal and snack of every day and I remain thin and healthy. I couldn't go to the gym because of COVID-19 and yet I didn't gain any fat!
I grew up fat and had body dysmorphia, but not since I corrected my metabolism via not eating toxic 'foods'.
That's part of my story and I will add that what I am talking about is scientific and the truth regardless of your opinion.
I understand the genesis of eating disorders and I am telling you that most everything you care about in your body can be fixed by a regular diet of whole foods only and only water, unsweetened teas and unflavored milk.
It's your body; your choice to pollute it...except it's not because you are addicted to fructose, the chief cause.

As soon as you drop below 1200 calories a day you body starts adapting to famine conditions.
It will slow the metabolism and start 'hoarding' every possible calorie.
It will stop 'wasting' calories on replacing skim cells and growing hair and nails.
All you will achieve is making yourself look I'll and when you do return to an acceptable calorie intake, your body will take months to turn back to ' non famine' conditions, during which time you will probably regain twice what you have lost.
