That's only if your parents home is worth more than a million dollars though. I should be inheriting two homes from my parents but even together they're not worth that. Won't affect me, but will help our country. You're not poor if your parents can afford a home over a million dollars and I'm sure you'll be getting a lot more from their life insurance to cover all of your life and your children's childrens lives...

Make sure your parents put your name on the property before they die. They can list themselves as the primary in you as a secondary. That way you avoid all estate taxes later on. You simply go to the front we appraiser's office showing the death certificate and they removed their parents name and you become the primary.
