Both have been proven wrong by science. The most primitive living organisms did certainly evolve from non-living organic substances, not from "dirt". And humans did evolve biologically from more primitive primates, as did monkeys, but humans did not evolve from monkeys (Have you noticed that monkeys are still here?).

Monkeys are made from dirt too. All lifeforms are. Actually everything on earth comes from the earth, even the oceans.

Which is more plausible, mankind created computers out of material that came from the earth or computers evolved from abacuses?

Since, we can see close DNA relation to primates, since we observe many of the same behaviors in primates and humans, and since all of the other evidence points strongly to evolution, I'd say it is near certain that human evolved from a common ancestor with our cousin primates, and that the ridiculous fairy tale story about humans made from mud is clearly false.

The fact that most people
can't identify a bone or two
as being from either a human or a chimp
is a pretty good sign
of the right answer.

Our bodies come from the earth. We are all created from the dust or elements of this fallen earth and our physical bodies will return to it. In the ressurection, we will obtain an eternal physical body. Christ conquers death and all the consequences of the fall of Adam.

One one side we have an ever growing pile of evidence.
On the other side (me being very generous here) we have an oral tradition written down thousands of years after the fact.
If you were a juror which side would convince you: the mountains of evidence or the hearsay that went like telephone over a few thousand years?
