force planting bulbs?
I would like to put bulbs in a pot and I know they need to be planted in the fall, but I want them to bloom in the spring like usual but I am afraid they will get wintered out. Can I leave a pot out in Indiana crazy weather and hope they bloom in the spring? Those are tulips.. another thing... I am thinking of forcing daffodil bulbs if I find any now. I have not done that before. I want them to be ready, but not necessarily blooming in two weeks. Is that possible? They are my 10 year anniversary flower and I would like them to be at least growing on Oct 8.

11 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoBaby's father in jail... Married and I'm prego. Should I bother?
I am looking for help here, so if you have no sincere advice, don't bother. I have been married for 10 years. I am extremely lucky my hubby has put all else aside for the fact I am pregnant and the child is not his. The father is in jail and hard saying if he will be there at the birth or even at all. I am looking for someone in my shoes. I know my options. 1. Have him sign all rights over, have hubby adopt the baby. 2. pursue child support but the father needs to grow up a bit and dont know if he would take care of the baby well considering his past and I don't want the baby around smokers. Or 3. leave my hubby which I don't want to do but the father cant seem to guarantee me anything at this point. Seems he has moved on after just a month of not speaking to him. I know he still loves me for he tried hard not to cry when I went to seem him in jail and I said I still cared about him. Anyway, anybody out there been through this? What did you do? How is it all working? Last thing I want is to give my baby to someone for the weekend after I just had him. been thinking I wont even let him know he was born. Given the father's past, I don't want that baby to be exposed to certain things so young.
1 AnswerFamily1 decade agomy son doesnt understand the importance of studying?
Although he is only 6, he has spelling words in first grade to study. He doesn't like to sit and study. It becomes a big battle. I'm thinking maybe he will get over it once he sees he can actually do this. Is this just rebellion? Should I be worried? I hate think of taking things away if he doesn't do well because he is only 6 and I don't want this to become a result of him not liking school. Any advice?

1 AnswerTVs1 decade agoMy 6 yr old son hits uncontrollably...?
My son is usually is a good kid but he is somewhat hyper. I know boys like to jump around and are physical, but I worry about my son. He as 2 younger brothers. he jumps around a lot and waves his arms around, hiting his brothers. Sometimes when we are in the car, they are taking and if they dont agree, he will hit his brother. We have tried timeouts and even letting him get to see what it feels like when he is hit by his brother... something he doesn't like, but nothing has worked so far. It has now carried in to school situations. He was called a name by another boy and he hit the boy in the stomach. I don't want my son to be the bully here. Also, when he has to sit and pay attention to work or just me talking to him, he can't. He has a very hard time listening. He wants to jump around all the time. He has a hard time doing school work and he can't tell me what I just told him to do. I usually have to tell him to get dressed at least 3x everyday b/c he is always jumping.

3 AnswersCareers & Employment1 decade agowho or what is this?
Since I moved into a new apartment about 3 years ago after my son was born, I'd had these incounters when sleeping. The first time was in the summer '04 and the head of my bed is up against windows that do not open. I was waken suddenly by very cold air coming from what felt like an open window in the middle of winter, but the windows were closed. It scared me a lot. I really felt like someone or something was floating over me. The second time was very similar. The next time, I was at my mom's house sleeping on the sofa and was awaken by the very cold breeze like someone walking by but no one was there. Again when I was asleep in my bed, I was awaken by the cold air feeling at my feet like someone had been sitting on the bed and my feet were covered the whole time. These 3 incidents happened within a year. After that, I decided to move my bed to a different wall with no windows. last year they came back. My hubby feels nothing when I do. Help! Who/what is this?
