If there is a 10% likelihood that the difference between observed data and expected data is due to chance, we presume the difference is due to chance. True or false?

  • Another way of wording this?

I need to reword this...(editor's note: it is odd to have the “one” and “other” language before the antecedents...Confusing to the reader)

"They believe, if there comes a time where one must be chosen over the other, medicine should be used to elongate life rather than to improve it."

  • This is kind of a stupid question...?

I'm a little embarrassed to be asking this question; however, I have been looking all over the place about energy and energy conservation. There are many great sites and much advice on how to save energy but not a lot about why we should. Besides because of monthly energy bills we get and what not. But I don't mean the use of fuel/fossil or other I'm talking about electricity, specifically laptops, fans, straighteners, other electronics, etc. I know why refrigerators and all those things are bad but...is keeping my fan on all day really bad? I know this is a stupid question so you don't have to be mean about it...thanx for all your answers~

  • What is the difference?

What is the difference between motive and intention? I always thought they were interchangeable. Or well very similar...are we not motivated by our intentions and our intentions brought about by our motives?

motive=intention=what you wish to bring about by taking a certain action?

I would like to know what you think...

Appreciate your honest thoughts. thanx much!

  • US general attorney....?

I've been trying to catch myself up on the whole general-attorney-firing-federal-prosecutors situation (I'm working on a report) and I'm just a little confused.

What exactly did the prosecutors do? I know it has something to do with the abuse of the patriot act, I just don't know what exactly. Also, in your opinion should or shouldn't the attorney general resign, I personally think he should resign b/c all of this happened under his watchful eye...but i would like some other opinions please!
