It seems that 10 Cloverfield Lane might happen at the same time as Cloverfield. Are there any movies that take place at the same time?
I've seen this happen on some TV shows. For example, the fourth season of Arrested Development had episodes that took place at the same time and were each from the perspectives of different characters. Walking Dead has done the same thing with multiple episodes focusing on different groups of characters, but showing the same stretch of time in the story. Does anyone know of any movies that have done something like this?
2 AnswersMovies5 years agoHeavy/death metal song with samples from The Exorcist?
I'm trying to find the artist and title for a heavy/death metal song that features extensive samples from the movie The Exorcist. I also recall male and female vocals being growled throughout. Granted, this song is probably 10-20 years old and my description is vague. I thought I would throw it out here and see if anyone had any leads.
2 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoAre there any songs by Clutch that would be ideal for a wedding reception?
My fiancée and I are both big fans of the band Clutch, but are at a loss as to which of their songs would work best for our reception. We need something that taps into a nice, solid groove. Something that everyone can dance to. Any suggestions?
3 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoWhat would be a good tuxedo gimmick for my wedding?
My buddies and I have a sort of tradition that we're carrying through our respective weddings. For example, I was in one friend's wedding and all of us groomsmen wore black Converse All-Star hi-tops with our tuxedos. For another friend of mine, we all had Kangol hats that we wore. I'm trying to find something unique for me and my groomsmen to do. Any ideas?
9 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoWhat song did Anthrax perform during their guest spot on Married With Children?
It was the episode where either Bud or Kelly won a contest and Anthrax came to their house. I just heard the song the other day and thought I'd throw this question out there as a pop quiz of sorts.

I remember this topic from a biopsychology class that I took a couple of years ago, but can't remember the specifics. Let me know where you find your answer, if possible.
3 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoAre there any hard rock/heavy metal albums out there that have more than one drummer playing at the same time?
I've recently discovered "A Senile Animal" by the Melvins and love the dual drummers featured on it. There's also a special place in my hard for the live album "In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" by Ministry. Are there any other ones that I'm missing?
And, no, the Grateful Dead doesn't count. I'm talikng about _heavy_ music.
3 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoIn the song "It's A Long Way To The Top" by The Mighty AC/DC, who is it that plays the bagpipe solo?
I always assume it was Bon Scott, but I can't find any documentation to back me up.
6 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoHas Angus Young from The Mighty AC/DC ever done any acoustic guitar work?
I know and love his work on the electric guitar, but can't for the life of me think of any recording where he has played acoustic.
2 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoWho pioneered the action movie staple of a person firing two handguns (one in each hand)?
I know that John Woo popularized this firing style (see: The Killer and Hard Boiled), but is he the first one to use it regularly?
And, no, I'm not looking for the very first movie to use this device. I'm talking about a director's "calling card", if you will.

It seems to me that it would be a song with Paul. It may be "Yesterday" but I'm never quite sure.

This one gets asked a _lot_, but I think it's relevance persists.
And I'm not looking for the answer "42" either.

13 AnswersPolitics2 decades agoWhat recent Spider-Man comic showed Spidey in front of a large glass window, with a hyper-detailed reflection?
Spidey may have been swinging in front of the window. I recall that it was a street-level shot. The reflection in the glass struck me as an amazing piece of artwork, as it was quite intricately detailed. The artist may have been either Ramos or Romita Jr., but I can't be sure.
