1 AnswerOther - Education7 years agoAre AC Adapters interchangable?
Not just between laptops or different brands. We have at least a dozen miscellaneous AC adapters that we are trying to see if they belong to anything in particular. The search is exhausting.
If I take care to not use an adapter with an output of 9V for a 12V and vice-versa, will I be ok to use them if they fit?
Thanks,
Eric

9 AnswersGovernment8 years agoPhysics Help! The velocity of a 3.00kg particle is given by v=(8.00ti + 3.00t^2j) m/sFull question below?
Full Question
The velocity of a 3 kg particle is given by v = (8.00ti + 3.00t^2j)m/s, with time t in seconds. At the instant the net force on the particle has a magnitude of 43 N, what are the direction (relative to the positive direction of the x axis) of (a) the net force and (b) the particle's direction of travel?
I have seen the other answers on Yahoo Answers and they do not come out correct.
Please help. Very frustrated here.
I derived vel to get accel = (8.00 + 6.00t)
I tried solving for t at the instant the magnitude is 35.0N by
35=3kg (8.00 + 6.00t) ---> 35=24i+18tj
11=18t ---> t=0.611
I used t back into v= and a= equations but get stuck here. Nothing I do will get me the answer

3 AnswersElections9 years agoWWI or WWII Movie Help Please!!?
I have been looking for the title of this movie for 2 years now...
A 8-12 yo boy is the primary character. He has at least an older sister. One of the major scenes is the boy and his gang of buddies catches the older sister having sex and they all start throwing rock as the couple. The boy later on goes to live with his wealthy grandfather where I remember a scene where he played cricket and another scene where he and his grandfather were fishing and the grandfather lit a stick of dynamite to catch the fish. This next scene may be confused with another movie, but the father finally comes home from the war and brings home a can of jam, but the family won’t eat it because they are worried the Germans poisoned it.

Bonus: Why is the author not recognized as often as the other "founding fathers"?
7 AnswersGovernment9 years agoIs a vote for Gary Johnson a vote for President Obama?
Not literally, but essentially?
Most people would agree that libertarians have far more in common with conservatives than liberals.
With that in mind, isn't Gary Johnson taking away votes from Mitt Romney?

3 AnswersElections9 years agoWhat United States President do you think came into office with the greatest "left-over mess?
President Obama repeatedly claims he entered the office under dire situations. He had to "...clean up this mess..."
I believe a strong argument could be made that Bush II entered office under worse conditions than Obama. Our national security was already compromised leading to the World Trade Center attacks.
Just look at what Ronald Reagan inherited from Jimmy Carter!!
Who would have wanted to follow Woodrow Wilson? or the total mess FDR and Truman left behind?
Thank you for all your answers.

3 AnswersPolitics9 years agoShould the ability to receive student loans be based upon the ability to pay them back?
Higher education is an investment. Sometimes you make a profit, sometimes you take a loss.
Example: The US is in great need of engineers, doctors, and other science related fields. The demand for these jobs is fairly high, allowing for those employed to find work to be able to pay back the loans. Many liberal arts degrees are not in as high a demand an/or don't provide as great a benefit to society afterwards. Or a degree in Medieval History. While I agree they are necessary to an extent, they are not equivalent to science degrees.
