What are some attributes that we should rate our Presidents with historically?
When evaluating the President of the United States of America, What are the primary attributes that he/she should be graded upon?
Morals?
Economy?
Security?
Any others?
I have been hired to write a book for a major publisher critiquing each President throughout U.S. History in a format that will try to be as unbiased as possible. I have my foundation set for the book, but I like the forum here at Yahoo and thought I would get some opinions from both Cons and Libs.

To my surprise, the publisher agreed with my methods due to how I see myself politically. The country has moved so incredibly far to the left overall politically that anybody with even a moderately conservative opinion is viewed as extreme by the media. I on the other hand, see myself as a Consertarian (Conservative-Libertarian) because the views of these two parties are more akin to the vision that our Founding Fathers had.

Economy, progress, civil advancement, foreign relations, and warlike aggression are among the factors which could be used. Another one is that you need at least 50 years to pass after a presidency ends to accurately put it into historical context.

ROFL ... Morals in Politics is not something Presidents or Politics should be be involved in , some types of SECURITY , YES ... Economy is not a Govt ONLY thing either ... you need to learn what a govts role should be tho nor do I believe any one is hiring you to write any book ... especially with your question , you don't even know any thing about govt nor politics ... LOL !

Decisions they've made that were beneficial to the majority. Wars started. Men killed while under their power. Civilians killed while under their power. Peace time & economy growth during their power. Those are some i can think of.
