I always sit with my left elbow on my desk and about about a month ago I felt a pain like I hit my funny bone. After that my left pinkie started going numb for days at a time and has been getting worse, as of now my finger has been numb for about a week straight.. I know I should ask a doctor but does anyone know what the issue could be or what I could do to help it?

  • Noob: What to bring on a day hike?

I haven't hiked much before and I'm thinking of hiking a length of a trail at a state park. Here's what I'm bringing:

    -Several water bottles

    -Lunch

-Cell phone (in a waterproof bag)

    -Park map and compass

    -Small bandages

    -Small hammock

    -Whistle (on my pack)

Is there anything else I should bring? Keep in mind that I live in an area known for black bears.. I suppose the whistle could scare anything big away?

    Thanks!

  • Refusing Draft Registration?

I strongly disagree with the draft on principle, but lets leave that debate alone right now... Can you tell me what would likely happen if I were to just ignore all the selective service mail I get and not register? I just turned 18 and live in Florida (U.S.)... Thanks for you're help!

    given interval. Sketch the region

B: f(x)=4-(12/(x^2))Calculate the lower and upper sum estimates of the area under the curve over the interval [2,5] using subintervals of width ½.

Anyone know a good path to take to become a professional mountain guide (Alpine climbing, rock climbing, ski mountaineering...) like well known schools and stuff...

Also, after taking whatever courses i need, how do most guides make a living? like do most work privately or are there organizations / companies ext....

  • Firefighter out of high school?

So I'm obviously thinking about what i'm going to do after high school and everyone wants me to go to college for 4+ years and whatever... I have a good enough GPA and test scores to get into a decent school but I know i'd have more fun as a firefighter than working some desk job... I'm wondering what you think would be the best/fastest way to become a career firefighter out of high school. (I know of schools that offer "fire science" degrees, would that be a good idea? And I'd rather not join the military for reasons that are irrelevant to this question...)

    What is the capacitance C?

    Answer in units of μF.
