I would like to transfer some of the shares in my DMAT account (Upstox)  to my daughter and my wife using CDSL online. Both of them holding DMAT account with different broker ( Zerodha) . My question is I am transferring shares as a gift..

1. Is there any tax liability on these transfers ?

2. Howmuch it cost in terms of stamp duty etc ?

3. If anyone know howmuch Upstox charges as service charge ?

I know I am not from this country. But I have contributed a lot in the form of taxes and NI in the past 6 years. I have applied for ILR SET(O) 3rd November 2012. It's been around 9 months, still my application is in processing.

I can understand there are many applications, but UKBA simply replied to one of my letter through local MP saying that " We have no enough trained personnel in UKBA, hence it's taking time ". As many of you might know, it's not only my problem. So many people are facing the problem.

What I expect is UKBA need to complete application processing within reasonable timelines and can give their decision (weather YES or NO) ?

Every time they are simply answering "still in processing". Keeping passport this many months and pending decision for 9 months creating mental depression and distress.

Can I sue UKBA on any grounds ?

I was hit by several bad things that happened to me in past. Mostly, after my girl friend left me , I was almost been idle for 6-7 months.. afterwards try to recover..

But after 14 months as well, I couldn't able to forget her. Most of the things I see even films, flowers, even shops , I am getting her memories..

Literally I feel like ashamed of myself for being dumped by a girl. And I start loving death more than living..

How could I come out of this ?
