Back in March, our black maine coon cat didn't come back home. He's an outdoor/indoor cat. He used to wait for us every day when we came home from work then nothing. So, we posted flyers a week later, and some guy called and said he saw him three or so blocks from our house, that he used to see our cat last year hanging out with HIS maine coon cat.

Anyway, I've been posting on craigslist and have had a few people email me, and we filed a report with our shelter, nothing. All false alarms. We were starting to give up, but my neighbor on the 3rd floor said she saw our cat a few days ago! Her dog tried chasing our cat and he went back into the woods behind our house (we have woods, but not a lot).

Now, another neighbor said he saw him yesterday at seven am, spooked him and he ran back once again into the woods.

I don't know how to get him back!!!?

I'm starting a new online Boutique selling vintage clothing, not all will be vintage but most. I need some more suggestions on a good name for the business. I have one or two in mind, but any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

Almost 2 years ago I went to the store and bought a little spider plant, now it's about 5 times bigger, and it's beautiful, has a nice medium green color with the white stripes in the middle of the leaves and MANY spiderettes...anyway, I've been going back to stores for plants and I always come across spider plants, none of which look like mine...the one's i keep seeing have leaves that are more straight, but my plant has beautiful curly type of leaves, and so do the spiderettes...are there different types of spider plants? I'd like to know what kind I may have...it's a very full plant and has about 15 or so spiderettes on it, and the leaves "curve" unlike the ones in the stores that just stand out straight...

I hung it up near the window on something, and when I tried taking it off, the longest vine off the plant tore off because it was stuck to something and I didn't know..Is there a way I can replant this vine and make another plant!?!? help...

We are opening in September...we have a name but want to see if anyone can come up with something awesome...it's theme is the 20's-30's, big band music, the old school environment with upscale cusine...part of it is actually downstairs with an intimate atmosphere and bar area, the other half is a large barn, high wooden beams, etc. It's actually part of an old farmhouse built in the thirties...thank you in advance for all your suggestions....

Two days ago, he was fine...at least I thought he was, and then this morning we found him dead in his cage...he buried himself...I've been crying like a loon all day...so, we built a little box out of wood, and put his wheel and little tiki home in it...covered him in cloth and buried him....So while we were out there in the field basically saying goodbye....a little white moth, pure white, flew right in front of us...and landed on a leaf right in front of us...just sat there while we said goodbye and literally flew away when we were done....I know it could be a coincidence...but what do you all think?

It's an old time decade...20's and 30's...will have tons of jazz/big band/swing music, etc. We also included our dog's name in it.."Jitterbug Millie's" What do you think?

I just adopted a dog, about two years old, she's a german shep. mix...We've had her for almost one month. We are now house sitting for a few weeks at his dad's house...and his dad has a dog, who is about four years old. Our dog is great with other dogs, she's super friendly and very calm. The other one, his dad's dog, is a psycho. She barks at all other dogs, and has tried attacking a few in the past. However, on a different occassion, she met his father's friend's 2 dogs, took her some time to get used to them, and then they played together for the whole weekend...

Anyways, we have to have our pup with us at his dad's house and now we keep them separated with a gate, or they are on long leashes at opposite ends of the yard (1.5 acres). They've seen one another for two days now, and it looks like his dad's dog wants to play with our pup, but we tried introducing them a few weeks ago and a dog fight broke out and we had to break it up.

Is there any way to slowly and surely get these two to be friends? Our dog has no problem, it's the other one i'm afraid of. But we know it's not impossible because his dad's dog was able to befriend the other two dogs last year during a weekend retreat.

Arrghhh...any help would be appreciated. Also, please let me know if you've had any previous exp. with this and other dogs.

I probably won't have the two get together anyways, but any hope for future "friends" would be nice, lol.

Last year we were going to open a bistro, but our entire deal fell through. We now have a potential place in a great town in Maine, heavy traffic, great tourist spot, etc. Anyway, it's an old house, and we'd like to turn it into a cafe/eatery to start. Also, I'm going to have a 20's/30's feel to it, dixieland music, swing/big band music, photos, etc. and maybe even an old car model sitting outside from those days. I need help with a name however! I wanted to name it after my sweetheart dog, "millie" but there are so many millie's cafe's out there! So, I also came up with "Jitterbug Millie's"

What are your thoughts on that name, and what suggestions of other names can you help me with?

I just adopted a dog from someone who obviously didn't take care of her properly. They had her for a while and said she came from a puppy mill. Anyways, I've noticed she wont eat in front of me. She'll just sit there, look at the bowl, then look back at me, then the bowl...sort of "unsure" if she should go and eat. So I'll leave the room, and come back and she's practically done with the food. She is a shy dog, she may have been abused in the past, not sure. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on why she is like this.

My husband and I just adopted a beautiful German Shepherd mix, but we can't come up with a great name for her. She's very shy, but very obedient so maybe there is a name that matches her personality as well...not sure. We came up with Daisy and Millie so far. Thanks!

A few days ago, my husband and I adopted a little black bunny and a black cat, about 2 years old from a family that needed to find them a home before they considered taking the two to a shelter. I guess they knew someone who abandoned them, they took them in and tried finding them a good home. We took them in and the first few days, the cat was great. He was playing with the bunny, and really good with my other cat. But now, yesterday, he started to act a bit weird, by not eating his food, just sleeping and looking out of it. I'm taking him to a vet next week, but I may take him sooner just because this is really bothering me, and him. Does anyone know if this is typical behavior? Is this cat depressed? The owner totally left, and I guess the owner had some other animals too...maybe the cat misses the other animals? I have no clue what to think, if any of you can give me some advise I'd really appreciate it. I've adopted before, and never had a problem with an animal acting this way. Thank you.

Does anyone here know what the MINIMUM income limit requirement is to sponsor an immigrant in the US? I know for one individual it's 125 percent over poverty level...but how is that calculated? I read that the poverty level is 10,800, so what would you need to make in order be able to support someone...anyone know? thanks.

I need a cute/catchy/colorful name for a new little cafe that we are going to open...selling cakes, cupcakes, sweet breakfasts, bundt cakes, muffins, etc. We will also sell coffee and tea, (loose teas, etc.)...any cafe name suggestions? thanks! :)

My fiancee's brother just passed away this week suddenly. He was in his mid thirties. My fiancee lives here in the US with me, but his brother lived with his mom in Europe. My fiance hasn't seen his brother in about six years or so, but his mother worked with his brother every day, and was with him all the time. They were close. Now that he is gone, my fiance and his father (who also lives here) are taking it really hard. They are depressed, sad, angry, etc. which obviously, is understandable. What we are worried about is his mother. She seems WAYYY to calm and ok about things. We thought she'd be the WORST out of us all, but she calls everyday like everything is kind of ok, and tells my fiancee how she went back to work the next day, etc. She and his brother owned and operated a business together and she just went back to working.

what are your opinions on this? Has this ever happened to any of you in your family?

We were going to start a new bistro. The investor who purchased the property signed a contract with us stating this and that will be included. One of those "thats" was the kitchen hood. Because of this "contract" we moved from Florida to be here...we left good paying jobs, and changed our lifestyle. We have wasted money and time on all of this. And he kept saying "dont' worry we will do the hood". Well today we find out, he decides NOT to do the hood. If we knew this we wouldn't have done the deal. And he also isn't going to do something with another issue as well. He keeps breaking promises that he signed under. What do we do? How can we pursue legal action? Problem is, we are tight on money and don't have any left for a lawsuit now. We waited 2 months for this...and now he slams us saying he decided he doesn't want to do it. But, he signed a contract saying he will and we changed our entire lives for this.

help please adivse, I'm so angry now.
