Ok I looked on Snopes and Googled this but could not find an answer. I'm hoping someone on here will know.

Since at least the 90s, I've heard the story that in the late 70s or early 80s, a scientist designed a super fuel efficient car engine (like 75 mpg) that runs on regular gas, but the oil companies found out about this and preemptively purchased the "blueprints" and made sure the technology never saw the light of day.

Is this true or an urban legend? And what evidence (or lack thereof) is there either way?

If you get HORRIBLE customer service from a company that most people have never heard of and wouldn't use anyway, is it better to let people know about it or to not even share the name of the company (and give them any publicity) at all?

I recently attended a concert for a very famous rock band known for their great live performances. Before one song, the front man had a brief conversation with a sound guy. He said to the crowd, that the loop was not working, but then he said "forget the loop, we'll do it 'off the record'". When they performed the song, it sounded perfectly normal. No elements seemed to be missing. It didn't sound any different than the rest of the concert, and I am quite certain they did NOT lip sync it.

Can anyone tell me what this was probably about?

I've tried cold turkey. I've tried easing myself off.

Like others, I get the typical withdrawl symptoms.

I've read lots of information from the internet, etc and I understand that the withdrawl symptoms go away after 5 days of non-use, but short of having someone lock me in a room with no access to caffeine for 5 days, how do I kick it to begin with?

Did that make sense?

- I have read wikipedia, how stuff works, etc. so please don't repost that info.

- If anyone cares to delve into another can of worms, given the prevalence of caffeine-based products in America, what are some ideas for staying off caffeine if I am able to kick it?

I have had 2 accounts banned from Yahoo answers. 1 for supposed fraud; 1 for supposed personal conversation i.e. asking for dates. Now I've gotten abuse notices for supposed fraud on this account.

Every once and a while, the 7-11 by my house has these huge greeting cards that are like 4 feet tall and glossy, so they are very nice. I went to thier supplier's website, but they only sell in bulk. Does anyone know where an individual can buy these on demand?

Maybe it's a restaurant, an art gallery, or an awesome stretch of beach, etc.

Since I hate working in sales, but switching fields would elimate my 7 years experience and put me all the way back to entry level.

In the single, Rihanna says, "I don't wanna hurt him anymore. I don't wanna take away his pride". I believe there was a song in the last 10 years by a male singer or group that said something along the lines of, "please don't hurt me anymore. You don't have to take away my pride." However, after several web searches, I cannot find it.

Any help wold b appreciated.
