I m confused. I m looking at obamas anti war rally speech in 2002. He says I don t oppose all wars and calls it a dumb war

Was he for war or against it?

At my riding school, all riders carry a riding whip of some description - most carry short but some carry schooling whips 110cm or so. I have a 60cm crop and then a 110cm whip, I am only doing flat work at the moment. Will a lazy horse respond to a schooling whip or riding crop more? Should I only use the schooling whip with the more forward horses?

I've had this 'friend' for about 18 months, in person she seems nice to me and acts normal, but o line all she does is complain about us and say about how her internet friends are better than us, even though she's only friends with them for a few months? If I ask her about what she was tweeting she says it isn't aimed at me, like I will say a general thing such as ' need to get away really ' and then she'll be like ' my friends :/ '. Should I be wasting my time on someone who thinks that people she's never met is better than me?

What is the most effective way to ask a riding school pony for canter? I ve been told by my instructor that I should push my seat forward, and that should be the only aid but I find that difficult. I can t push my seat forward without sitting to deep or leaning back.

I might try this - look where I m going, turn my shoulders slightly, leg behind girth on the outside and at the girth on the inside and cluck, should that get me a canter?

Told my instructor what she s saying isn t working for me and she s adamnet that eventually I will get it.

Around 12 days ago for a week and a bit I had flu sort of symptoms. I feel better now but still am a bit achy and have a clogged up throat, how long does it take to recover from this ort of thing!

In horse riding his do you ride 10 and 15 metre circles in a simple way? I haven t been riding too long and my instructor says we will do some of these today but I d like to get an idea of how they look and how to do them, what points of the track/letters are you hitting?

I have a 5 year old Labrador who is active and very playful. For most of her life she's been used to 40mins walking each day and over an hour on Friday nights and weekends. Sometimes after running around a field a few times she starts panting but is still more than happy to trot along, should she have the stamina to go for a jog? Do I build this up gradually?

I ride an incredibly lazy riding school pony. I can motivate his walk and trot, with no Spurs and an occasional tap of the whip. My heels are good in walk, down and no gripping with knees. In trot the stirrups sometimes slip through my feet but once I correct this I feel more weight drop into my heel. As soon as I ask for canter by pushing my seat deeper and forward and sitting tall the pony nicely goes along but my instructor immediately starts shouting ' heels down' and as much as I'm trying she says that they are 'floating in the stirrup' and just as I feel like I'm getting depth, the horse pops back into trot - his ideal pace is stationery😂 how can I improve this? I also find that F I'm kicking him along too much I lose the stirrups because I'm so determined to get him going - I can't even go one side of the arena please help.
