  • My partner's friends hate me...?

My relationship with my partner is good, but when we fight, they run to every one of their friends and vent. They exaggerate and stretch the truth and fail to point out their faults in the incident. I get demonized and It actually got to the point where their friends tried to stage an intervention and force them to move out of my place. It's gotten so out of hand and the ridiculous thing is that none of these people know me at all. When they try to tell their friends that I'm a good person and that they exaggerated, nobody believes them, they act like they are in denial and lying for me. That's not the case. Our relationship is good and we are both good people. We've only fought like 5 times in the past year. They just like to talk to everyone when they are worked up in the heat of the moment and we are both paying for it. I have to avoid social situations involving these people and I don't even feel comfortable going to see them at work. I told them not to do it anymore and they have stopped, but the damage is done. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

  • We don't fight often, but when we do...we break up every time.?

I've been in a relationship for almost a year now and things are really great. When things are normal and going well, our relationship is one that others envy. They are the love of my life and we both have discussed how our relationship feels so much more fulfilling than past relationships.

There's just one problem, our fights. We have very different fighting styles and things will escalate until they blow up, ending in the other person leaving and saying things are over...for good. The longest we have been broken up is two and half days so far and in a year we've gotten in maybe 5 fights.

The problem with our fights is that I do something that hurts the other persons feelings. It will be something small such as telling them to talk a little softer when the person they are talking about is not even 10 feet away from us. They challenge what I say, ask why I'm upset with them, they say they are confused and don't understand. I explain clearly and they just keep saying, but what did I do, why are you so mad. I start off not mad and calm and the inability to acknowledge what I am saying gets me worked up. Things turn into a screaming match, things get thrown, they leave and tell me things are over for good.

I don't usually have an anger management problem, but when these seemingly pointless arguments come up, I get furious. I have tried every tactic, trying to drop it, tried to explain myself, tried to show them that i hear what they are saying, I've tried to hold their hand and say I'm sorry and I love you and they shove me away and say don't touch me and the fight continues. I've tried to leave the situation and I come back and they are gone, I tell them to leave and they turn it into saying I'm kicking them out when I make it clear that I'm not. They say I have an anger problem, the fight is blamed entirely on me, and the only thing that gets focused on is how I eventually blow up. In my every day life, I don't have an anger problem. In most of my past relationships I don't have an anger problem. This has only happened to me when the other person won't work with me to end the fight.

Within two days they are back, and it's like nothing ever happened...until the next fight. The next fight when they break up it feels more definite than the last and I feel like one of these times it's really going to be over and I don't want it to be.

When they do this I beg and plead for them to come back, I really feel like I have to put all of my energy into making them come back, but part of me wants to just leave them be and show them that I'm not going to do that, but I am so afraid of losing them.

We will be talking about moving in together, about getting married, we plan things and invest into things, but it all goes out the window. It's causing a lot of insecurity and pain for me. I'm not sure what to do.

  • Are my neighbors neglecting their cat? Outdoor kitten?

My neighbors just got a cat, it looks no more than a few months old. They lock it outside and leave food and water out for it, but the cat has no collar or tags, and overnight temperatures drop to 40 degrees outside and this is Minnesota so it's only getting colder every day. Is this normal or should I call animal control or something?

  • My attention whore cat is driving me crazy! help! begs for food, wants to be on top of me every second!?

I moved in with a roommate that came along with a cat. There are three of us ,but I'm the only one home most of the time. The cat is fed in the morning and at night, but begs for food constantly! If you even take a step in the general direction of his food dish, he runs toward it and loudly meows. The meows get worse and worse. They start to sound like whining and crying after a while. Despite the begging, we never break the feeding pattern and give in yet it continues. The cat will also follow you from room to room, brush your leg if you stand still, jump in your lap if you sit down, get in your face and climb on you when you're sleeping, etc. If you close your door it will meow and scratch at the door. I've shut it downstairs and it manages to turn the handle and get out. If you prop something up against the door the cat will start throwing itself against the door. It's actually kind of scary! It sounds like the weight of an adult human being thrown against the door! Help me! It's starting to feel like I'm stuck in some sort of cat horror movie!

  • Is there an legal agreement form to use for roommate not on lease?

Me and two other people are moving into a townhouse. One roommate because of his prior roommate being irresponsible, isn't able to be put on the lease along with us. Is there a legal agreement form somewhere online that we can have him sign to protect us?

  • Is there a program that tells you when updated software for ALL of your applications/drivers is available?

I like to keep my programs and drivers up to date, but manually checking is a pain and some programs have an upgrade notifier, but not all, and the ones that do take up resources. I like how Linux distros have something like this, but have nothing like this for Windows!

  • Why does my computer need to be rebooted with the SD card in for it to be detected?

For some reason, and this has happened with other hardware too, my SD card will only show up in "My Computer" when you reboot the computer with the SD card IN the slot. If you don't start it up with the card in or you take the card out and put it back in, it doesn't detect it! help!

  • My rat ONLY pees on my hand...why? Can I stop it?

I have two rats...one never pees outside her designated areas...and the other, I'll put out my hand and she'll run up my arm to my shoulder. When she wants to get down she'll climb back down, but ALWAYS at the last second will pee a tiny bit on my hand. Just a couple drops, but it's every time! It drives me crazy and I often just pick her up and put her back so she doesn't do it. I'm sure it has something to do with her marking me as her territory or something, but does anybody know exactly why or how to get her to not do it?

  • Getting clothes that aren't completely white...white?

I have a few articles of clothing that are primarily white with a little bit of color as an accent, and they are getting beyond just a little dingy looking. For instance I have white sheets that have printed on thin multi-colored stripes. I'm afraid of using bleach because it could ruin the colored parts, and using just detergent, even the kind with "color-safe bleach" just isn't working. What can I do?

PS - Oxyclean isn't an option, I have severe allergic reactions to it. Thanks!

  • Pimple has been leaking puss for over a day and a half and won't stop! Help!?

It's in the crease under my lip on my chin. I haven't picked at it, i've applied a cloth with pressure for extended periods of time, i've iced it, put a bandaid over it. Used a styptic pencil. It just keeps soaking through and won't stop! I'm going crazy here! i'm not even sure it's a pimple...you can't even really see anything but redness from it being irritated. Sorry if this grosses you out, but imagine having to actually deal with it!

  • What requirements do these recipes meet? e.g. Natural, No Preservatives, No Additives, etc...?

I have a couple recipes that I'm packaging and I want to make labels that boast things such as:

    -Natural

    -Preservative Free

    -No Additives

    -No Artificial Flavors

    -Fat Free

...however, I'm not quite sure of the guidlines for these labels and the if my recipes meet any of these requirements, or any others...anybody know?

    Here's the recipes:

    Hot Cocoa Mix:

    Pure Cane Powdered Confectioners Sugar

Cocoa Powder (Dutch Process - treated with alkali)

    Powdered Nonfat Milk

    Salt

    Corn Starch

    Cayenne Pepper

    Marshmallows:

    Gelatin

    Sugar

    Light Corn Syrup

    Kosher Salt

    Vanilla Extract

    Pure Cane Powdered Confectioners Sugar

    Corn Starch

    Nonstick Spray (trace amount)

  • Hot Cocoa Recipe...What kind of COCOA POWDER? 10-12, 20-21, medium, dark, extra dark brown?..confusing!?

I have a recipe I wish to use for holiday presents this year. I'm making homemade hot cocoa and homemade marshmallows.

The recipe specifically calls for Dutch Process cocoa powder. I've looked all over town and can only find Natural cocoa powder.

So I looked online and found a good site for buying decently priced cocoa powder, but there are so many options!

light, medium, dark...I guess this is talking about the amount of alkaline in the cocoa powder

10-12 or 20-21...the amount of fat

Does somebody who knows what they're talking about help me out here...thanks!
