this is my first year working a new job.

I work out of the country for 2 month periods and I get 2 month holiday after each trip.

sometimes I may not get sent away until I have had (for example) 2 months and 2 weeks holiday.

As I am getting towards the end of (my) tax year could I go away for one big holiday to reduce my days in the UK to below 183 or is it not as simple? don't forget this is my first year.

I have heard one version whereby I must not at any point have more holiday than I have had time working away but I cant see this in the HMRC document.

Could someone please explain it to me

Everytime I flush the toilet the dudley turbo flusher pops off the pipe and hits the top of the tank, Ive tried pushing down hard, putting a jubilee clip around the pipe, cable tieing the dudley pipe to the toilet pipe, wedging something between the dudley and the tank, hitting the top with a hammer but it pops off everytime.

How is this even supposed to be secured? It has an o-ring around it which looks fine, the tapered part of the pipe doesnt seem like it would secure anything.

the exhaust mount has snapped off, I could put a jubilee clip around the exhaust and the mount and it will hold securely but it wont look very pretty.

Will this pass an MOT? and could I get this welded?

My friend got stopped in his boy racer car. He has bucket seats and a racing steering wheel. The police gave him a probation notice for a loose battery, (apparently 1 inch of free play means it can fall out of the vehicle or catch fire?)

They said they will be contacting his insurance and telling them about the mods, he took photos.

I know his insurance will be canceled but could he get done for driving without valid insurance? He's a new driver so if this happens he will have to do a retest.

As someone who owns an xbox and has to pay £40 for online play I would not touch an EA game with a barge pole.

However my mates gf has suggested giving him battlefield 3 as an early xmas prezzie to play at mine, we purchased ms points with it.

the question is, when those Microsoft points are wasted on paying for a 2nd online service how does it tie to the copy of the game? if we activate on my xbox it wont be valid on his right? what about if he put his xbox account on my xbox?

My hamster got her teeth stuck on the bars of the cage. she panicked and broke them ALL off. There is blood everywhere. She looks like she is in pain,its 11:30pm. will she survive? Surly she must be in so much pain that it might be kindest to send her to rest? It look like she is sneezing.

Im going to call gamestation and see if they have any ps3s for sale with fw 3.55 or less, there is a naughty reason behind this and they will probably catch on but I can avoid embarrassment if I can make a good enough excuse!

If it was an xbox I would simply say its because I like the old dashboard, the new 1 is too confusing and I wont be going online.. but

I've never had a ps3 before so I need one of you guys to think of a similar reason! perhaps they have disabled some feature at one point?

I have a desktop hooked up to a sound system. only problem is i like to use my laptop.

it would be nice to flick on a youtube video or a song and have the audio be transmitted to my desktop over wifi... who wants to listen to laptop speakers. it would sound better training my dog to sing the song.

It all started a week ago today when I logged into my bank online and noticed a £1mill transfer from a an account I had never seen before. For the time being I've only bought a lamborghini. I was driving it around earlier and felt slightly guilty and I was wondering if I keep quiet would that be classed as illegal?

Can I remove the L plates on my motorcycle?

Hi everyone, I have just paid for a 3G Iphone locked to o2 (uk)

Will I need an o2 Sim to boot the ihpone into the normal menu? ... if i do need a sim maybe i could still unlock it without it booting into regular menu,,,,?

I am assuming the only thing that will not work is my network until I unlock it?
