If Izzie's not being "killed off" and if Denny's *not* a ghost, what's up with her storyline on Grey's?
I found this paragraph at the TV Guide Katherine Heigl site:
"Since the season premiere, Katherine Heigl's Izzie has seen, talked to and yes, had hot, loud and sweaty sex with her deceased fiancé (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Though McPherson reiterated that Denny is not appearing as a ghost to Izzie, he refused to comment any further on the ultimate direction of the storyline."
Since no one else can see him, wouldn't we have to gather from that that she's losing her sanity?
4 AnswersDrama1 decade agoWhy do we see so many Brits on US TV?
I am not complaining. I like what I've seen so far. But I'm just wondering about the trend.
To my knowledge, the following are all from England or Australia.
Lena Headey (Sarah Connor Chronicles) -- Fox
Johnny Lee Miller (Eli Stone) -- ABC
Anthony Lapaglia (Without a Trace) -- CBS
Simon Baker (The Mentalist) -- CBS
Hugh Laurie (House M.D.) -- Fox
Rufus Sewell (Eleventh Hour) -- CBS
Damien Lewis (Life) -- NBC
I think they're all great, but I'm just wondering if American actors have priced themselves out of the market.
17 AnswersOther - Television1 decade agoJericho -- have you seen the alternate ending?
It looks like they haven't given up yet.

This is the alternate ending that introduces new possibilities!
3 AnswersDrama1 decade agoDo bottled waters vary in their "quenchability"?
I drink bottled water. I have a favorite brand (Crystal Geyser). Sometimes, I'll buy a 2nd favorite brand (Arrowhead) on sale, but it never seems to be completely satisfying as far as my thirst is concerned.
I want to know if this is possibly a real chemical difference (and if so, what?) or if it's all in my head. Please.
4 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoWill you help a Grandma order tunes for cell?
My grandson is very hard to buy for, and I'm on a low, fixed income. His Mom tells me she's sure he can download tunes to his cell phone, but I don't know the make or model -- I'd only guess it's NOT an expensive one.
Where can I find a gift certificate for him online?
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoWhat is that building?
I've never been to NYC. Since 9/11, I've seen a number of pictures and slideshows of the World Trade Center.
A few times, I've noticed a little glass building, resembling, perhaps, a Nautilus shell, nestled in among those towering structures.
I don't know anyone who knows what it is.
Can you help with that?
4 AnswersNew York City1 decade agoHave you seen this Charmin commercial?
I saw it last night for the first time. It shows a red bear and a blue bear (cartoons) running along the beach toward 2 port-a-potties.
The music in the background is "The Hallelujah Chorus" -- not just instrumental, but a chorus singing.
Now, I'm not very churchy, but this commercial offends me as yet another attack on Christian values.
Thoughts, please?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs anyone else getting hang-up phone calls from this number?
(801) 618-2020
I went to "Whocalledus" (http://www.whocalled.us/)
and learned that this is probably "Pacific Crest Research" in Utah, and that lots of people are getting such phone calls.
Just wondering if anyone out there in Yahoo land was also getting them, and, if so, have you actually talked to a human being?
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoATWT : Did you see the tease for next week?
They showed a doctor-type person talking on the phone to Barbara telling her that her son is alive.
Of course WE are not surprised, but it will be interesting to hear the other shoe drop.
2 AnswersSoap Operas1 decade agoATWT: what's happened to Carly?
I don't read spoilers, gossip columns, or forums, I'm afraid. So there may be an easy answer out there that I've just missed hearing. But "Carly" (a favorite character of mine) looks so horribly gaunt. Is it just the longer hair, or has she been ill? Anyone know?
4 AnswersSoap Operas1 decade agoWhat did they never tell you about aging?
As I approach my 70th birthday, I'm wishing i'd taken notes. I'd write a book about the dozens of little things I didn't expect about aging. Little aches and pains, vision problems, etc., those things are more or less expected. But what about other things? I'd make a little list, but I've forgotten them all. LOL. How about you?
20 AnswersSenior Citizens1 decade agoTyping the wrong word -- mental lapse?
Even though I know better (I used to be an editor and proofreader, for goodness sake), I find when typing emails I occasionally type "here" instead of "hear" or "there" instead of "their" -- and a few other such things.
I'm wondering why the mind, when not properly concentrating, would push forward those "substitutes". Hopefully it's not early onset anything...
2 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoCan a neighbor's exhaust fumes cause carbon monoxide symptoms?
I live in a seniors mobile home park, and my mobile home is rather old and has no A/C. I have a neighbor who had someone start an old car of hers the other day, and she left it running for over an hour. I could smell exhaust fumes all through my house.
For the rest of that day and the following, I had vague symptoms -- headache, slight nausea, light-headedness. Shortness of breath, though some of that's expected during allergy season. I felt very lethargic.
I'm fine now. Might this have been CO, or was it possibly just the general heat or a bug of some kind?
Best guess, please.
4 AnswersOther - Health1 decade ago"Jericho" back on. Did you contact CBS?
I just learned that the "Jericho" cancellation has been reversed by CBS. I didn't contact them with my disappointment because I was sure it wouldn't work. But it DID work for a whole lot of others!!
According to Associated Press:
“Jericho” fans who bombarded CBS with protests over the drama’s cancellation have won the battle: it will return next season, the network said today.
It was an unusual display of viewer might since networks usually put ratings ahead of even the most passionate, well-organized fan base. But CBS said the show deserved another chance, while cautioning that it must prove it has wider appeal.
“Wow! Over the past few weeks you have put forth an impressive and probably unprecedented display of passion in support of a prime time television series,” CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler said in a letter to “Jericho” boosters.
4 AnswersDrama1 decade agoWhat language is it and who sings it?
It's a deep feminine voice, kind of a chant. It's played during the movie "Gladiator" (Russell Crowe) and I think the same woman does a similar song during "Man on Fire" (Denzel Washington). The lyrics are another language -- doesn't sound familiar to me, so it might be something like Celtic or Greek.
Just curious. I'd like to buy a cd...
