I delivered newspapers for a few months as an independent contractor. The checks I received totaled about $10,000 however box 7 "Nonemployee Compensation" on the 1099 says $1454.86. Should this number be the actual dollar amount of all of my combined checks?

the 1000 houses for sale in the county, down to about 7 or 8. I called a realator, referred to me by a family member and told her exactly what we were looking for 3bdr 2 bath, basement, attached garage and so on. I explained to her that I have already done a ton of reserarch on the available houses in the area. She inturn sends me a list of over 100 houses, between 1-5 bdrs...1-3 baths...no garage..no basement...of course the houses are all offered by the company she works for. Isn't the real estate agent job to listen to what i'm looking for and help me find just that?...not try to steer me into something that I do NOT want, so that she makes a higher commission. The icing on the cake was last night when I emailed her to confirm we were looking at these houses this morning, and when and where to meet her. SHe returns email stating we need a plan "B" since she didn't get my email about what houses I wanted to tour. I have not signed anything from this agent or even met her face to face. Can I call around and tour with someone else, or am I locked in with her. She said she was calling the bank I was pre-approved through to let them know she was the agent solely working with me. From my view...this is the only part of her job she has done...."Claiming my Pre-Approval Letter" as her sale. I would like to call someone else, I'm not feeling like my interests are priority to her. Is this appropriate? Again, I did not promise her or sign anything. I just told her I was pre-approved and that I wanted to tour some houses. I appreciate your feedback.

Or is it only used to "share" internet connection?

I recently got a new laptop and I transfered all of my pictures from my old computer onto it. I created an icon on the dock just for pictures (not realizing that there was one already inside the camera icon). Anyway, they stored in there just fine, and were there for a few days. I turned on the laptop today to print a few pictures, and the icon does nothing. I tried right clicking and "open" and still nothing. I have tried searching for the pictures, but all I can find is the default picture file which only contains the sample pics that came on the laptop. Please help! How do I get my pictures back, and why would one of the items in the dock just stop working? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I run multiple housing properties and have three offices. I have a great desktop at one property, but am going crazy trying to get all computer work done from the one office. For work I will mainly be using microsoft outlook for company email. I have a lot forms (microsoft word) but I have them all stored on a flash drive so it is not essential for me to load them all directly onto the hard drive.

For personal use I intend to use for web browsing, some games, and instant messaging.

What is a good laptop that is a reasonable price but will suit my needs. I have been to best buy, circuit city and office depot...and each store gives me completely different answers on which would best suit my needs. Do you have any advice what would be a good purchase for me? Does Microsoft Office software come on any machines, or does it have to be purchased separately and installed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't trust the kids at the stores just trying to make a sale. I am hoping to get some feedback from some people that may use a laptop for similar needs, and has had great performance from their machine. Thanks!

or somethimes blinks. I don't know if it is overheating or I need a new switch? I have checked the bulb and it is 60watt (which is the same as the other identical fan I have..with no problems). If I need a new switch I will take it to Home Depot and have them help me find it, but ...how much will it cost?

It leaks water all over food on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Can I fix this myself (by defrosting for a few hours) or is this a more serious problem and I may need a professional?

The floor is ceramic 1" tiles, which I imagine date back to when the property was built about 40 years ago. The grout is mostly orange (maybe from rust) and some black spots around the tub. I have tried leaving a comet paste on the floor..scrubbing...and cleaning off. Next I tried spraying white vinegar with a spray bottle and scrubbing. Nothing seems to be making any difference. What can I use ?? Or is it maybe that the grout is stained and i will not be able to make it look clean?

When disputing information in a credit file, do I send dispute letter to the Credit Reproting Agency, or to the actual creditor that claims I owe them, or owed them money? I disputed an item 36 days ago, by sending a letter to the creditor (sears) and received no response either way. What should be my next action, and in the future should I just start by disputing with the CRA??

Which console would be best to buy in the long run? I am looking for a birthday present. He wants the XBox 360 and Rock Band. I am looking for the system that allows old xbox games to be played as well. It looks like some of the consoles only come with one controller, and he would definitely need at least two controllers. What would be the total cost? I don't know much about video games, and I don't want to run out and by the "best deal" which may not be what he is looking for. Help Please! :)

My sis was house-sitting for a week and downloaded about 30 different trials to my brand new computer. How do i delete them entirely? I know how to delete them from add/remove programs...but does that take it all off your computer????

I am seeking employment at a business, and I wanted to check them out in the BBB. When I type in the name of the business...nothing comes up. Why would that be. Does there need to be negative issues with the business before it is reported to the BBB??? Thanks in advance.

I have had them since I was a child. There a re also lines running up the nail. I remember someone in my past telling me that it had something to do with circulation, but so far I haven't read anything like that. I have been looking online and find that it can be caused by many things, but nothing really for sure. So....has anyone has this problem, or better yet, anyone SOLVED this problem. I just got a new computer...never had a prob downloading on the old computer. Now every song I click on directs me to Amazon....is morpheus no longer for downloading? If this is the case , is there any other sites that allow for downloading music files that are (((((((((safe)))))))). I understand that all downloads have the potential to be harmful, but I know some are worse than others. Thank You in advance.

I have had this ring for over 7 years after a broken engagement. I tried to return it to my ex, but he didn't want it. My current boyfriend of 4 years is ready to propose, but I think he wonders why I still keep this ring. Can it be traded at a jewelry store?? I dont know what to do with it. There are no feelings left with this old engagement ring, but I am afraid that while I keep it, my boyfriend might think there is. Have I waited long enough to sell it?

Each report has different information about the same accts. Some accts say closed, some say deferred, some say they are still open. Do I call each company on the report and see what the acct standing is? If so, do I need to do something to have it updated on all 3 credit reports?
