  • Vintage Mega Man games whats a good price to pay for them?

So I'm looking to buy Mega Man 1,2,3 and 4 for the NES. The seller is asking $100 for just the carts with Nintendo sleeves. The carts are in mint condition. Is $100 a good price to pay or is it too much?

  • Question regarding the Healthy NY.gov enrollment.?

Can I just enroll or do I have to select a health insurance plan?

On the site it states that you must "enroll" by March 31st which is tomorrow ( Yeah I know I waited too long).

But it doesn't state that you have to actually select a plan. Basically I haven't selected a plan because they are all too expensive for me to afford. Even with my Tax credits. Also the horrendous reviews most people have already given make me think twice about selecting a plan. It might just be worth it for me pay the stupid fine after all. Either way the "affordable" health care act doesn't seem to affordable.

  • How to tell when a Nikon DSLR was made.?

I have recently purchased a Nikon D90. Its in like new condition. But I was just curious if there was anyway to actually break down the serial number and find out what year it was made.

The only info I could find out was that its a US camera based on the first digit which is 3.

  • Is it possible for a DSLR's buffer to decrease with age?

I have an almost 10 year old Nikon D70. The body has performed flawlessly in all the years I've owned it.

But today I was shooting some birds in front of my house and noticed that the viewfinder and top LCD was only displaying a capacity of 3 images instead of the usual 4 images.

Also the JPEG High/Large buffer is usually 9 images but now its only 7.

I've tried resetting the body and turning off everything that might affect the buffer such as the noise reduction ( I never use it during continuous shooting).

Could it be that one of the memory chips in the body has burnt out?. I'm using a Transcend 133x 16gb CF card which is overkill for this camera, I know but its the smallest size I could find.

  • What Kind of view finder does my old Nikon D70 use, a pentaprism or pentamirror?

I was cleaning my old D70 yesterday since I had recently gotten back from vacation. I got a little mud on the front of my D70 caused my me almost slipping into a lake lol. The mud came off and all is well.

However what I noticed though while cleaning the view finder is that with the battery removed from my D70 the view finder is blurry and dark. But if I hold the camera up to my eye and insert the battery the view finder brightens up and comes back into focus.

I did this same test with my D7000 which I know has a Pentaprism. Once the battery was removed the view finder got dark and blurry. However once the battery was reinstalled the view finder brightened up and came into focus.

However when I did the test with my D3100 the view finder remained bright and in focus with the battery removed. The D3100 has a Pentamirror.

So anyways does this mean the D70 used a Pentaprism? I checked online. DP review said in the specs that the D70 used a Pentaprism but Nikon's USA site doesn't say what the D70 used in the specs.

This is just something that made me curious. The view finder on the D70 seems to be brighter and slightly more detailed than that of the D3100 which makes me think the D70 may have used a Pentaprism.

  • Computer guys I need your help!!?

Today I was copying some photo's to a DVD for a customer. Everything was going well until I decided to make a light scribe label for the disk.

The computer randomly turned off and then restarted. Once the computer restarted I tried to complete the light scribe label. Which I was able to complete. However a few moments after I finished the label and exited out of the light scribe program the computer shut down again and restarted.

I checked the event log and found a slew of errors relating to the particular disc drive I was using. I had a bunch from today and also from last week when I was making another disc for a different event.

Could a faulty disc drive make a computer shut down?.

Both of my CD drives are LG. They are both about 2 years old.

My system is an i5 2500K with an ASUS P8 Z68-V Gen 2 with 8 gigs of corsair vengeance DDR3 1600 ram, an EVGA GTX570 and 1tb WD caviar black HDD. I also have a Corsair HX750 watt PSU.

  • 2007 Subaru Outback 2.5i Head Gasket issues.?

I bought a 2007 Subaru Outback 2.5i two weeks ago. The car has been fine except for one issue. Last week I noticed an oil smell coming into the car whenever I was at a red light. I quickly brought the car in the have it checked out.

The dealer I brought it to called me two days later. The mechanic told me that I needed a new head gasket on the passenger side of the engine. It turns out the head gasket was leaking oil on the oil filter and then dripping on the exhaust manifold creating the burnt oil smell.

The work is being done under warranty but I wanted to know how long does it take to replace a head gasket on an 07 outback 2.5i with an EJ253 2.5L engine?. The car has been in the shop for 5 days. Not counting the weekend since the shop is closed on weekends.

  • Nikon D5100 viewfinder problem.?

Hi everyone. I have a question about my Nikon D5100. The camera works fine but it has one issue ( it might be me though). The view finder on my D5100 is a little out of focus. I've tried to adjust the focus on it but it doesn't seem to help. Now the funny thing is that for six years I have shot with my trusty old Nikon D50. The view finder on that camera is bright and very sharp. I can manually focus on subjects and tell if they are in focus or not just by looking though the view finder on my D50 I don't even have to look at the confirmation dot. On my D5100 however I have to basically rely on the focus confirmation dot. It there a problem with my D5100's view finder? Has anyone else had a similar issue with there D5100?

  • Husqvarna 240 or 435?

I need a smaller chainsaw for occasional wood cutting and pruning. The 435 is a better made saw and its also a more powerful. The 240 just has a cheaper price going for it. I was also looking at the Stihl MS211. The logs I will be cutting will be no bigger than 8 inches wide. I'm lucky to use a chainsaw maybe 10 times a year. What should I get?

  • Macro Photography lenses.?

Hi I just bought a Nikon 85mm macro lens. (AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 85mm f/3.5G ED VR). The lens works great but I have one question about the focus ring. Once the lens reaches its maximum or minimum focus the ring can still be turned. You can feel when the focus ring maxes out but it still turns after that. Its very smooth so I wonder if there is some kind of damper on the focus ring or maybe a safety. The auto focus motor works fine and its virtually silent. Its also the fastest focus motor I've ever worked with. The instructions don't say anything about this and I couldn't find anything on the internet. Its my first Macro lens so I have no idea.

  • Computer memory question?

Whats faster 2x4gb of DRR3 1333 or 4x2gb of DDR3 1333? Does memory run more efficiently with fewer sticks with higher capacity?. I know the spred of the memory means more than its size. Its allot cheaper to just buy the 2x4 gb memory kits right now but just wanted to know if there was and benefit to having 4x2gb VS 2x4gb modules. Its for a gaming rig that sometimes gets used for video and photo editing. Right now I have 4gb of corsair XMS3 1333. My computer has a core i5 2500k not oced, an EVGA GTX570, ASUS P8Z68-V mother board and a corsair HX750 watt PSU.

  • Intel Pentium G620 vs Core i3 2100?

Hi I currently have a budget gaming rig with an Intel Pentium G620. It can play games with out and problems as long as I don't jack up the settings too high. My graphics card is a Nvidia GT545. I also have 4 gigs of Kingston HyperX DDR3 1333. So How much of an improvement would I see if I upgraded to a i3 2100? Also does Hyper threading work in games?

  • Nvidia Geforce GT 545 any good?.?

I'm trying to find info about this card on the net and I can't really find much. I know that after looking at some benchmarks it seems to be more powerful then a GTS250 and about the same as a GTX260. If anyone has this card tell what you think about it. I going to be using it for an HTPC and playing some games on it at medium settings at 1280x270. Its going to be hooked up to my 32inch TV through the HDMI port. This card it replacing a ATI 5570 that has trouble playing games at medium settings.

  • What category shoud I put my videos under?

Hi I have some videos that I wanted to share. I made some videos on some old vintage chainsaws from the 1940's and 50's that I'd like to post but I can't seem to find the right category to put them under. What category would be correct for small engines and out door power equipment?
